As you’re packing up and heading out for your camping trips this fall, you’ll want to take along these great fall camping recipes. From dinner to dessert, these are easy and delicious crowd pleasers, and take minimal ingredients and prep.
In a Dutch oven or Crock Pot, combine:
- 1 ½ pounds beef stew meat
- 1 can Campbell’s Golden Mushroom soup
- 1 can Campbell’s French Onion soup
Cook on low heat in your Crock Pot or your Dutch oven over your campfire grill for 4-6 hours. This stew cooks in its own gravy, and gives off the best aroma while cooking! Pair with roasted potatoes for a filling meal.
In a Dutch oven, combine:
- 2 quarts apple cider
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 Tbs brown sugar
Wrap the following spices in a small piece of cheesecloth:
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp whole cloves
Add spice pouch to the other ingredients, and stir gently. Heat to a simmer over low heat – either over your campfire or on your new or used RV’s outdoor kitchen cooktop.
Change up this classic treat a little! Try swapping the graham cracker for cinnamon or chocolate graham crackers or regular marshmallows for the pink strawberry marshmallows.
or trade out your plain chocolate bar for any of the following:
- Reese’s peanut butter cup
- 2 Andes mint chocolate candies
- Ghirardelli salted caramel chocolate
Keeping a variety of s’more fixings on hand will keep changing up this treat. You may even want to have a designated s’more-gasbord buffet one evening.
These recipes can easily be made outside on your RV’s exterior kitchen, so you can enjoy every minute of the day without heading inside to cook dinner and miss out. If your RV doesn’t have an exterior kitchen, it may be time to look at some units that do, so you can make the most of your family time.
